At the end of 2025, a large pocket blue prehnites of partially excellent quality was found in Mererani, which we acquired in its entirety.This is one of the best blue prehnite specimens we have seen so far: aesthetically set all around with elongated crystals in partially perfect color.

Prehnite is not a rare mineral in itself, but collectible crystals of this silicate with beautiful colors are not common. The best crystals come from Mererani in Tanzania, where outstanding collector specimens of yellow, green, and even blue prehnite are found. These are sometimes associated with other minerals such as tanzanite, creating exceptional parageneses that attract the attention of collectors internationally. In 2025, a large find of blue prehnite was discovered in Mererani, marking the first such find in several years. Interestingly, only the blue prehnite is UV-active.
