Tsavorite with diopside

Tsavorite is a chrome-vanadium grossular from the garnet group, with a vibrant mint to emerald green color. Collector-quality crystals are found exclusively in the 16-square-kilometer Mererani mining area, known for its tanzanite. Due to its rarity, remarkable "fire," transparency, and exceptional color, tsavorite is a sought-after and highly traded gemstone and a guaranteed eye-catcher in any collection!

Mererani is a fascinating and exceptionally diverse deposit in northeast Tanzania at the foot of Kilimanjaro. The deposit first gained international attention in the 1970s with the discovery of gem-quality zoisite (tanzanite), but further discoveries were to follow: for decades it has provided the world's best crystals for a wide variety of other minerals, such as tsavorite (chrome-vanadium grossular), diopside, Mg-axinite, tremolite, graphite, alabandine, wurtzite, etc. in addition to tanzanite. The approximately 16 square kilometer area is protected by a four-meter-high video-monitored wall and is guarded by armed guards around the clock; it is virtually impossible for foreigners and locals to gain access.

Unless a different deadline is specified in the respective offer, the goods will be delivered domestically (Germany) within 3 - 5 days, and for deliveries abroad within 5 - 14 days (-20 to Australia/New Zealand).
