This blue Prehnite specimen is absolutely unique as it also contains a complete tanzanite. Normally the Tanzanites are chipped off by the miners and sold separately. Very good blue fluorescence under long UV light.

Prehnite is not a rare mineral per se, but collectible crystals of this silicate with its beautiful color are rare. The best crystals come from Mererani in Tanzania, where excellent collector specimens of yellow, green and even blue Prehnite can be found, some of which are associated with other minerals such as Tanzanite and thus attract the attention of collectors internationally with their unusual paragenesis. Blue Prehnite has not been found for several years. Only a few remaining stocks are available from local dealers.
