A Garnet cluster with two large oblong Garnets and several small Garnets. A large crystal is beautifully orange and transparent to clear at the tip. Some Muscovite attached to the side.

The orange to dark red Spessartites from Loliondo are usually picked up loosely by the locals. They are rarely recovered (and offered) with the loose matrix. The crystals usually show the icositetrahedron, more rarely the rhombic dodecahedron. Hematite inclusions are responsible for a red color. Other inclusions include Braunite, Muscovite, Quartz and Zircon.
