This tsavorite is characterized by a beautiful color, very good transparency and excellent luster. There is still some matrix on one side. The faces on the top are almost all complete; there is damage to the edges of the crystal.

Tsavorite, also known as Chrome Vanadium Grossular, is a bright green variety of Garnet. Its rarity, the extraordinary mint green color and its transparency make it a sought-after and precious gemstone and a guaranteed eye-catcher in every collection. Gemstone-quality crystals worth collecting are rare and only occur in Mererani, a small area in northeast Tanzania.
